Where you transferring from? I've spent a bit of time in most colleges (through my old job) and might be able to give a better/worse than assessment.

I loved it, Mostly because of the informal atmosphere. Nothing handier than waking up with a monday morning slump and dragging yourself into the cantine for some distasteful breakfast and a nice nap....

I found the lecturers super in my course(computing). They really seem to give a damn about the students. Obviously there are some who are a bit willy nilly but majority are good. Any complaints or hardships your having are always catered by the department. The really wanna make it easy for you.

People seem to think the social buzz and college spirit needs a bit of work. Though most socials are always full from what i seen. I was there for a great education so didnt focus on anything else really. The cantine staff are great to get to know but the food itself is basic at best.. though its only 3.50 for susage, beans and chips with a free drink so what do you expect...

My little brother seems to think its "dead" most of the time though. I've never been to any other college but he said they always have something going on to entertain students. Dont know how true that is though.

The resulting education i got from it was superb. Cant say for the other courses but my skill set is perfect for my job industry...I did work hard at it though. It wont fall into your lap.

My stay at ITT was really good overall. Its a small place so dont expect as many functions etc but the size keeps it informal and friendly.

Only really negative thing I'd have to say is that the SU (during my time there as a full-time student - am part time now so can't really comment) activities seemed almost to revolve around the ground floor of the college (School of Business) and everyone else was an after-thought. I doubt that's changed much given the nature of the problem.

Socials were good in part because of the relatively small size of the college meant that a larger percentage of the college population managed to participate (if that makes sense).

My lecturers were for the most part consistently good, with a couple of spectacular calibre lecturers thrown in for good measure. That said, the workload was f*cking mental for 3rd & 4th year. If you're going in for computing, be prepared to W-O-R-K your ass off in those two years. But it'll be worth it.

Ye the last 2 years of the computing course are extremely tiem consuming,
9-9 were pretty common place for me. Though It depends on what grade you want. Plenty of 9-5's getting low pass grades.

9-9 or thereabouts sounds about right. Strangely enough I (and all of my classmates would agree) that 3rd year is worse.
