    Hi guys,

I am basically wondering what is involved in an exchange being dsl enabled?
Is it a fairly easy task or complex?

Just thinking out loud that if it was easy and one new an eircom employee it could be arranged so to speak?

I'd happily give someone a bung to avoid getting satellite! :-)

nope its not easy, and it requires optic fibre or high bandwidth microwave at the very least to be run to the exhange, then the addition of DSL equipment ( DSLAMS etc ) into the exchange, this costs money, and unless the guy you know has a say on budget, i doubt it will do anything :-)
