OMFG Your spending E2200 & not goin for dual core  Thats just crazy. Socket 939 & ddr memory is a bad choice at the moment, go for either AMD X2 socket am2 or Intel core2duo & ddr2 to keep yourself futureproof, both are dual core processors (2 chips in 1) and ddr2 memory is what your gonna find in most systems in the future.
Also a 7950gx2 is seriously over the top with a monitor that only supports 1280x1024 resolutions, it only really shines at 1600x1200. A 7900gt would play absolutely any game maxed out on that monitor at half the price. Very bad choices IMO,

Edit: Been away from pc for day or 2, 1st time i new bout this new forum. Bout time. Have a read thru some of the other threads here & you'll find loads of info.

Regarding the monitor I was going to go for that (with 2ms) or this:

But that only has a 5ms response.

Regarding your other comments, let me reply to them in a while.

I'd go for the widescreen. Don't read 2 much in2 what the manufacturer says the response rate is, some don't actually perform as well as the response rate says they do. Good guide to widescreen monitors here: http://www.behardware.com/articles/619-13/updated-survey-13-lcd-20-5-6-8-16-ms.html

At the high end of gaming there is very little difference between the Core 2 and an Athlon 64 X2 so the argument for the Intel Core 2 isn't as strong there.

However as the others have said go dual core and if you can afford it get a Core 2 anyway as it will be noticeably faster in other general tasks like video encoding, compression etc.

As PogMoThoin stated the 7950GX2 is overkill for the 1280x1024 BenQ 19" LCD FP93GX (a fine gamers monitor though) so upgrade your monitor or scale back the GPU to a 7900GT/GTX or X1900XT which will still allow you to pile on image quality enhancements and get good frame rates.

Thats 300€, 200 more expensive.. It would be pushing it..

Yes, the 20" is lovely, only down side is the extra 3 ms?

I would not take response times as a hard and fast rule (see bottom of page) the Viewsonic display is considered one of the best widescreen gaming displays. I know nothing of the LG or have seen it reviewed or recommended yet - a user review is here though treat with caution unless you can find more of a similar nature.

If you are stretching your budget too far & not happy I think you should stick with 1280x1024 and get a slightly slower high end GPU that will not break the bank.

I treated myself to a nice flatscreen to go with the rig I'll be building next year, it's currently hooked up to an old upgraded Dell. It's only 19" and with max res of 1280x1024 but has an excellent response time with no blurring etc. Recommended. Means I won't be breaking the bank for a video card next year too :)
