i want to start bmx and would like a good bike for about €200
im only 14 so yeah any way got any suggestions?

i live in clare and i cant go over €200 cos i jut got an xbox 360 and this is going to be a present from me parents

To be honest unless you find a decent second hand bmx (on ebay or by asking other riders in ireland) you're not gonna get anything really good for €200... the best complete bikes sell for no less than €300 - 450. If you can be patient and save your money or wait until Christmas I'd advise going for a Hoffman or a Fit, because they will last you longer and be easier to ride than a really bad model.

The cheapest one works out at just over €175 and delivery is free. I don't know anything about BMXes though - so I don't know if they're any good. If they are I might get one myself.

From looking around on the internet the GT zone has a 18.5" top tube, so unless your 5 feet or under its pointless, too short! How tall are you?

The GT Thumper would be an ok option if you can afford it. The frame is 100% cromo (better grade steel than hi-tensile etc... and good weight to strength ratio). The forks and bars are 100% cromo too, you get tubular 3 piece cranks (stronger than forged 3 piece and 1 piece).
The geometry should be ok as its a trails orientated frame and would be able to be used for anything other than flatland and the top tube length of 20.75 should be ok for your height.
If your really on a budget try this

It should suit just as well, but I can't be sure if the frame and fork are 100% cromo, email them to find out. If it's 100% cromo That would be what I'd recommend. Their website is

Are any of the BMXes on CRC any good? I'm a moutainbiker - interested in giving BMX a go. Any advice - pegs/no pegs? What's the difference between a dirt and a street frame or which should I go for?
