    ComReg to grant another 'moderate' telephone line rental price increase

    The Irish Communications Regulator plans to grant Eircom another line rental price increase.

    ComReg does so after deliberately misinforming the public about the fact that Irish telephone costs are already amongst the highest in Europe and are rising in comparison to our EU neighbours.

    Irish telephone line rental at €24.20 per month is already by far the highest in Europe, which has an average line rental price of €15 per month.

    We ask Communications Minister Noel Dempsey to look at the facts and the misinformation ComReg is putting forward:
