Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You sound like a happy person, sleepy.

    not wearing good/matching underwear.

I never got what the issue was...

    hm, let's see...
    lack of intelligence,
    not being nice,
    being constantly insecure,
    being arrogant,
not generally being their own person,
guys who are shorter than me,
    not being skinny,
not washing (personal hygiene is a must, people),
    drinking more than a little,

Oh whatever, I could be here all day. That's the general idea

It's just one of those things. Almost every guy's dream girl always wears great lingerie. It's explained quite well in High Fidelity, actually, it's a juvenille fantasy thing for a lot of us.

That said, I have female friends who claim to always wear matching, nice underwear and have dated one or two girls who always wore nice stuff so it would seem that there are women out there who live up to this male ideal. Just not very many.

I'm sure there's an equivalent for men? Something that very few of us have/do that most women wish were the case for all of us? I'm trying to stay away from the cliched 'fat wallet' scenario here so let's say something like a willingness to admit we're always wrong, even when we're not! :P

Hmm, the underwear thing doesn't matter at all to me, I find it weird that it would matter.

Well, it's nice for ye to be sweet and romantic without overdoing it or making a big issue of it :) Other than that my only issues would be with individuals rather than guys as a whole, I think.
Oh! I know. Why do boys always spend forever in the shower! Why can't ye just shower more often for less time :( No seriously. It's always 20-30 mins. That's insane.

Hey but life is'nt simple enough to be so sure of oneself,it's complicated,at different times in a person's life there are decisions to be made and we do not always know what we want or what is right...it might take a lifetime before we really know what we want or who we are in such a knotty society.

    Two scenarios for you
Alright... All girls have equally hairy legs... and that hair is always really dark so you can see it from a mile off, and it grows really thick as well...

    Or..

Some people are less hairy than others, and have light coloured hair on their legs... And they find it unnecessary to shave... because of this

OH doesnt have a problem with it, I dont find it necessary and I really dont think that in this day and age, I should be attacked for not shaving my legs!

You could definitly say the same thing about girls TBH. In my personal experience, I've seen more girls do that sort of thing to blokes than the other way around and I'm sure alot of blokes will agree with me on that one.

Mind games: It can be fun, but I know im leaving the relationship very soon. Im very competitive. lol

Your list is very precise, just do not be suprised if the woman of your dreams is totally different. I had a list even longer than that when I was younger...then I fell in love with someone who was totally different from everything on my huge list, while I did not end up with him :( he did make me realise that I needed to look at a far wider group of men...result, I now have a gorgeous fiancee that I am marrying shortly who I adore.

I would say to sleepy to take his list, keep onto it, and then come back to it in three years and try not to laugh your hole off at how stupid it seems.
I dont see any merit in a list with mostly superficial items on it, you will be happy going out with a washing machine (that kisses like a dryer) before you find a girl that ticks those boxes.

Grown up healthy women have hair on their vaginas. Pre Pubesecent girls don't.

If you want a grown up healthy woman to make herself look like a prepubescent girl you have to ask YOURSELF why.

Relationships dont start because of lists is all I am saying. A few years back I could see myself doing the same, but then you meet someone incredible that shows you a whole different way of living and suddenly you realise that you were being close minded, sheltered, and stupid to use a list to evaluate women rather than your heart, ears and mind. If you start a relationship that has a chance, a list is the last thing that matters is all I am saying. Plus why in the hell do you want to go out with someone who thinks the exact same as you? Just shag yourself, and the nights out will be cheaper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,458 ✭✭✭CathyMoran

Sleepys List is fair enough, it will just change. To be fair, I fit most of that list (though my fiancee may disagree on some things!) My list was huge when I was younger...they had to be above 6ft, had to have dark hair, had to be a virgin, had to have a Degree in Comp Sci/Eng, had to be very skinny...the list goes on, I cringe now...as it turned out my first love was a redhead who was cuddly.

There's no arguing with that, but god knows I wouldn't start assessing someone as per some list, really it's just a list of characteristics I've found unattractive in the past.
