Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I'm living in South Korea now, been here for four years. Teaching English language in a university and studying with the University of Birmingham via distance learning in TEFL/TESOL. I'm not really a lecture yet but hopefully someday I will be. Hoping to go back to Ireland in about 3 years so I have to keep my eyes peeled here for details! :D

    Regards,

    LiK

    Hi,
I am a primary school teacher but would like to move into an area which is more maths based..i would like to possibly get into secondary school teaching or preferably lecturing (maths)..I studied maths for my Bed degree and since I have done a few open uni maths courses...I know moving into secondary/lecturing would take further study but i am prepared for this...I was thinking of doing a M Sc in maths with open uni next year...I would greatly appreciate it if anyone had any advice on how I could go about becoming a secondary school teacher or lecturer....or if it is even possible??

    Hi,

I'm one of those sub-teachers, who hasnt subbed yet, and is doubtless pestering the syndicate for positions that may or may not come up in the next few months...before I apply FOR THE FIRST TIME, might I add, for the PGDE.

Have a degree in English from Queens, Belfast, a postgrad diploma in Public Relations, and a soul-less body given that office work is murderous and dull.

I genuinely still want to teach, regardless of the rather negative press, ha!

    Hi, all.

    S.K.

I'm a current PhD student and am kindly encouraged to facilitate lecture sessions and lecture on mediation and conflict to Masters degree students.

Thankfully, I didn't mind the nudge to do so and enjoy it quite a lot. Now to finish that thesis...
