Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Don't know if I am posting on the right forum here but as some of you are lecturers i was hoping you might be able to answer a question for me.

Do lecturers in DCU work through the summer or are they term time only?

They work throughout the year, the main focus of a lecturer is his research, lecturing is something they do on the side (typically).

Hi guess I should introduce myself since I've been lurking her for some time.

Qualified in 2000 and still waiting for that elusive permanent and pensionable position I apparently have to materialise. Currently subbing/PT in a secondary in the South East, mainly in the Sciences and Maths.

Hi, I'll introduce myself, but not sure I'll be around much, I'm a secondary Irish teacher, teaching 10 years.
