Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Listening to him on newstalk over the last couple of weeks, he is so pro FF it is unbelievable.

Every opportunity he gets to interrupt someone who has something critical to say about the govt he jumps right in and starts spouting his pro FF point of view. He got a lot of emails asking when did newstalk become an official organ of FF etc and was contrite for about 15 seconds before resuming as normal pleading for pro bertie texts. What a muppet!

If he isn't a FF hack then he needs to get remedial lessons in interviewing technique. Like I said before what a muppet!

He does give off that vibe alright, like that other celebrity historian, Diarmuid Ferriter. Heard him on Pat Kenny this morning singing the praises of Bertie Ahern's er.. oratory and gave carte blanche to Ahern on his "finances" on Questions and Answers a while back.

He has an engaging enough radio voice, in despite of this FF leanings.

Aoldus is obviously highly into Irish history and fianna fail for all it's flaws(and there are many in recent time) is most important and dominant/populous party in history of this state. Newstalk tend to be anti government and slightly pro FG so might be attempt at balance.

Far be it for me to take up for Aldous on Newstalk or anything but does nobody listen to Joe Duffy on RTE ? The FF and Bertie fawning is sickening. These people have such short memories. I said it after the (political) demise of Charlie Haughey and say it again now after Ahern. Where might this country be if it were not for their reciprocal corruption ? I reckon we'd be far better off than we are now. Our Celtic Tiger economy is down to the hard work of the people in this country over the last few years and not our jumped up county councillor government. They'll drag us down though.....

Not forgetting G Ryan, President and lifelong member of the Bertie fan club.

    Bump

Richard Aldous is writing Bertie Ahern's biography, so that answers your question.

Yeah, the Mahon tribunal has spent millions and had difficulty getting Ahern to explain things

makes the publisher look pretty naive if they think Ahern will 'tell the truth' for a few bob

damnatio memoriae b. ahern - a traitor to the Republic of Ireland

patronage and the abuse of it by ahern is so obvious

    wasnt ferriter handed emeritus?

also FF bought the revisionist flawed book on DEv and sent copies to every school in the country

laughable hacks and the gombeen men that pay them, with our taxes....
