b) Allowed here (i have used a few images that are a bit iffy in the rights department!)

But here goes.

I have started to create skins for teh Bebo recently and am looking for some feedback as the other forum ive posted on seems to be a bit dry.

I'll start with my first and proceed!

Please dont call me an ásshóle for taking (and editing) these images. I do not wish to profit from them in any way. I use these for myself and my shíte Bebo page.

Its the same really as using counter strike or some band name and logo in your sig, so dont forget this before you reply!!

Mods, feel free to delete this thread if you want. I do not feel that this is wrong. But i also appreciate the fact that someone else might think im doing wrong.

just go to my profile (see sig) to view my creation.... granted it's very simple. i did make a far more complex one but when i optimised it to suit bebo's file size restrictions it ruined the whole thing

I have seen your Transormers one before, tis very nice.

Optimisation ruins a lot of things i know. Trying to get them David kit anims uploaded was a nightmare.

i got a reply from Juliet Casablancas for The Strokes skin, but she didnt really say if i could submit them or not. I wont pester her about it though.

What was your other skin based on?

i designed some cool little armoured-robot dudes for an entirely different purpose and decided to make a bebo skin out of them, but because there's so much colour and detail, when i optimise the crap out of it they just look like pure muck...

When saving use, Save for web.

The files are massively compressed with very little quality loss [adjustable]

This is in Photoshop

Hardly massively compressed now! Not for Bebos standards anyways. Any skin with a lot (bucketloads) of colors will have to endure quality loss.

He said he "optimised it", i imagined photoshop!

To Bebo? Change skins / become a featured skin artist / Add a new skin.

The mods are very nice. Mario is teh leet! Very colorful! Sorry about the images not shoing on the thread all! Cant remember the image directorys at the time! Anyways im not doing this stuff anymore.

I did one before but it sucked ass (seriously). Not enough pics to work with. Havent been doing this at all lately either. I'd suggest anyone getting into any sort of skinning to practice freehand and get one of them drawing tablets. Doing collages with pictures and using a few filters and brushes and a bit of font seems a bit fake.

I had got the guts of a liverpool "champions league winners 2007" skin but the very unsporting AC Milian denied me the all important Rafa holding the trophy pic for the main jpeg so I went with the dark moody skin I'm using now instead

i ave photoshop. i need help with smtin though. did anyone eva see a skin where theses a picture and it blend into one colour!!! its like a gradiant exept part is see through and the other fades into the colour. i wud luv if someone cud help me!!!
