Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it was religion 'he' wouldn't have got it done, his parents would have about 22 and a half years ago. Phimosis (Tight) foreskin I would imagine.

What till your morning Glory tomorrow mate! Its one hell of a way to wake up :D Best put a picture of your granny beside the bed in preparation :D

Firstly, i got it done because i had very tight foreskin.

Had operation yesterday morning. Stayed in hospital overnight. Its not thats its sore, the head is just tender. It took me two years to get te courage to go about it..... just bite the bullet and get it done.

And trust me, there will be no morning glory for a while. If a sheet even touches my head, il scream!!!

friend of mine got it done years ago... try not to laugh too hard.. he tore stitches and it didn't sound fun

My friend got it done in his twenties as well and for the same reason. Right afterwards I asked him to show it to me, kinda joking. But he whipped it out and showed me in all its glory. SWEET JESUS... the swelling, the stitches... never do this, you've been warned. It's etched on my memory forever.

Hi brum. In a similar situation, so I'm on cream at the minute, but may well have to go the whole hog.
I'm curious as to what exactly is painful at the minute for you, post op: the head because it's so sensitive having not been exposed before, or the cut on the shaft? Or both?
Also did they remove the frenulum - is that painful where it used to join the head?

And what about the 'style' so to speak - did you discuss beforehand how high or low you wanted the cut on the shaft, and how much skin you wanted retained? What did you go for?

    Sorry for the twenty questions!

    Thanks

I never even used the cream. Straight for the op! Now, 2 days later, the head is the only sore part - sore bc its so tender, yes bc it was never exosed before.

The surgeon did tell me how far down he was cutting but to be honest - i didnt care - I just wanted it.... its getting less tender every so often but still painful at the touh of anything.... time...

Maybe I was jumping the gun because you were only out of the hospital yesterday. Maybe not today, maybe not tommorrow, but soon....and for the....... :D

Got mine done a few years ago and I'm trying to remember. Probably day 3 or 4 now that I think about it and for the next 4 or 5 days thereafter. After a week and a bit in, the glories will still wake you with discomfort rather than unadulterated agony of the first few times. After 2 weeks oversensitivity nor morning glories will be an issue.

And for those still to have this done. Don't worry. Yeah the glories are painful for 20 seconds or so for a few days but believe me, it is worth it in the end.

I suppose it's a different deal for different people.

Had a mate who got it done about a year ago - we couldn't contain ourselves and had to announce it in every pub we went to for a few weeks after.
He saw the funny side of it, we did, and so did everyone else in the pubs.

Personally, i don't think it would bother me too much either (except for the pain, that is).

The issue is that this guy had problems with his manhood and had to go through a very awkward, embarrassing and painful procedure to rectify it!

    Fair play to him!

Youll be fine mate. When I got circumsized years ago I used a bath solution, which kept it clean. It healed in no time and of course Im glad that I got it done.

Any guy worried about what girls think has nothing to worry about. Some girls dont even notice, and those that do are just like "oh.. kool"

Thanks for that info brum. So what of the scar on the shaft - is it prominent and how painful is it? And is there a notable difference in skin colour now, between top and bottom?

Were you bandaged up leaving the hospital, and if so, how long do you have to have it for? Do you have to 'maintain' it with any treatments too?

Just a few questions :) - will prob have to have it done soon. There's lots of info available about the different options etc, but very little about the aftermath, esp current cases like yours!

    Thanks again.

Its only day 4 so not sure what the story is scar wise - its swollen like crazy - give it a week!

I was only bandaged for the first 24 hours, then i had a bath and took it off... its been free since. No maintanance.... just daily baths

Quick question to the guys who have had it done. If you could go back in time and meet your parents when you were a baby would you ask them to have it done then or are you glad that they didn't do it then.

I ask because a number of male members of my family had this done as adults, as did some of my husbands family - though not him. And I've been told by doctors that it can pass through family lines, so if I had a son some doctors would recommend having him circumsised as an infant.

I am happy and so is the girlfriend :D so I wouldn’t change anything

Hmm, so it didn't hurt too much?
Than why did you get it done, any other reasons?

I don't hurt during sex so I imagine I wouldn't need it, I wonder about the difference in what you feel though, head area and whatnot, I imagine a foreskin is taking froim the experience but then again I have no idea.

Thanks, I always figured I'd just have it automatically done to any sons I might have. But then I read this article about men who have been traumatised by not having a foreskin and are in a support group trying to grow it back. They seemed a bit nuts, but I believe there can be loss of sensitivity to the head due to constant low-level stimulation.

Was it done under local or general anaesthetic?

Given your overnight stay, I'm guessing general?
Does urinating hurt at the moment?

Thy knock you right out, well they did for me.

Well enjoy the next two weeks of having a 12" black schlong...take photo's now to impress the ladies :)

Reminder, for the love of god do not wear tracksuit bottoms with cotten insides (the stitches tend to get caught up in them).

Iguana, saw that on Tv years ago, it's a bunch of loopy Americans who attach weights to the little foreskin that's left to try and stretch it over. Losers tbh.

Mate, I was 22 when i got mine done for same reason. Very tight foreskin and sex was uncomfortable. First week after was very sore, after 4 weeks I was " back in the saddle again " and now I enjoy sex so much more. I miss the swelling though, it was the only time i was known as " big " !!!!
    Good luck with it.

I've seen it on other shows and I don't see anything wrong with it. Regrowing the foreskin can return some of the sensitivity you lose with a cimumcision.

I had it done as a child 7-8yrs. I'm glad I had the operation TBH. I don't think it's something that should be done just for the sake of doing it. It should be a personal choice unless it's a medical nessessity.

And to what extent is it swelled brum? i.e. is it 50% bigger, or 100% perhaps?! And where exactly is swelled - the half of the shaft above the I presume? Is the shaft itself painful? (ask a stupid question). More of a heavy throbbing I suspect....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

    Hi-

I had the op just over one year ago, at age 28. Best decision ever.

I would not describe it as being painful or sore. Uncomfortable for a about 4 weeks, but it got better each dat after the stitches came out. I had mine done under a local anaesthetic - in and out fo the hospital within 2 hours. I took a week off work, jsut to be able to relax at home, and was fine when I went back to work.

The surgery really is not half as bad as people think.

Well lets just say - it looks like id get a job in porno land without a shaowdow of a doubt! Its prob 200% bigger... seriously! swelling is equal everywhere! Shaft is not painful at all.... head is slightly painful at times... tender at the touch, not throbbing

From a girl's point of view.. In my experience, a circumsised man needs to concentrate more on foreplay to ensure the girl is 'ready' for him as it is a less cushioned experience for a girl and can hurt more than with a man who has not been circumsised.

hmmm....lets see. maybe an operation on his little man?????

    but back to the op.....

it is much more hygienic, and all the girls i was with used to say it felt much better and looked more appetizing.... if that is the right word.

Never heard that before, how exactly is it less cushioned? Can't see how the lack of a foreskin would cause more pain. Surely it would come down to something more subjective such as size?

Maybe guys who've been been circumcised are just bigger due to permanent swelling? ;)

I'd assume the man would have to be a bit rougher to get them same amount of stimulation as uncircumcised man.
