    p.s.

Cost me a bit more cos I forgot I had to work until 2 on the Wednesday, had to change the booking at a cost of €35. Still a bargain.

    p.p.s

cos of this trip I'll only be heading over the Sunday morning for the rearranged Wigan game, back that night.

Buy a "SchönerTagTicket NRW" (HappyDayTicket NRW). This is a mini group (2-5 persons) day ticket covering all local public transport in the state North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). EUR 27,00 from ticket machines. EUR 29,00 at the counter.

This ticket covers all local trains (S-Bahn, RB, RE) and also the trams and buses in this state. Thus you can reach any train/tram/bus stop in Düsseldorf, Cologne or Leverkusen

There is only 1 price for up to 5 people - Happy Days !!

Thanks for the tip Dublin Spur, regarding the train tickets in Germany. For some reason we got the price down to EUR 20.9 for 2-5 people. As you say cheaper from the ticket machines.
