    Hi,

I bought a car with a large exhaust. It's in perfect nick, and quite new. I want to change it for a less noisy one, and was wondering if anyone knew of any garages/exhaust centres that will do a part exchange?

    Cheers,

    K.

Seriously doubt it,your only bet is to probably go back to a stock exhaust and then try sell the aftermarket one.

Any idea of weather its a full/half system or just a backbox?

best bet is find out the name of it and hopefully product name -eg- peco big bore 4"
Then find out the pipe diameter. Then do a search online and find out which cars it will fit. Then stick it in buy and sell and also go to the enthusiasts sites manicmotorz.ie 106rallye.com gtiownersclub.com etc etc. Thats what i did and it paid for the replacement exhaust which was standard!

    what about selling it privately?

chances are whoever buys it won't need their standard exhaust. What kinda car is it for?

    It's just the backbox.

Ah chopped n welded!Had it been a bolt on it may have been more desirable.

Id say a garage part exchange is out of the window, you could try getting someone with a standard rear section to swop for your one, failing that if you get a new rear section just put it up for sale and it should sell quick.

Is there any name stamp on it?
