Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone see this film? What was it like? Anyone any idea if this on anywhere from the 13th - 16th Oct in Dublin?
Celtic: The Irish Connection is a feature length documentary charting the bond between Celtic Football Club and the Irish diaspora in western Scotland. It tells the story of the great famine when 100,000 displaced people had to leave their homes in Ireland in search of work and a new life in Lanarkshire. Because of their background they were greeted with hostilities and institutionalized racism by the local Presbyterian communities. But through the founding of Celtic Football Club in 1888 by Brother Walfrid, a Sligo-born Marist priest, they rose above the bigotry. Their identity, culture and traditions have remained through their Irish roots, which are expressed through their love and support of Celtic Football Club. The participants in this documentary are Sean Fallon, Billy McNeill, Packie Bonner, Tommy Gemmell, Pete St John, Professor Tom Devine, Doctor Joseph M.Bradley and Aiden McGeady to name but a few. It is presented by the legendary sports commentator Jimmy Magee.

Jimmy Magee will be in attendance.

It's out on DVD later this month or early November. Mate of mine went to see it on Sunday night but wasn't overly impressed.

It doesn't have the official seal of approval by the club, so it was limited in the footage it had and the interviewees but there's apparently some good footage from Lisbon and of McGeady as a youngster.
