Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i need to create a GP for a stand alone windows xp machine. Im well used to doing it in a AD domain but my problem is I cant find where to set the permissions on the local policy (ie which users it should and shouldnt apply to) also is it possible to have more then 1 policy?

No, it's only possible to have a single GPO on the local machine which applies to all local & domain users.

The only way around it really is to use logon scripts to set individual users' settings.

i did find this article relating to win2k.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;293655

still looks like a pain to deploy and manage. I have vista (RC1) which I might install instead as that does allow multiple local policies.

Well if you could stick Win2k3 on it and make it a domain controller, that's one way around it. OTT though :)
