    The G80 will be launched with two cards to start, the 8800GTX and its little brother, the 8800GTS.

    8800 GTX

    * G80 core clocked at 575MHz
    * 768MB GDDR3 RAM clocked at 900MHz (hmmm...possible headroom?)
    * 384-bit memory interface, delivering 86GB/s
    * 128 unified shaders clocked at 1350MHz, delivering 38.4 Billion pixels/second

    8800 GTS

    * G80 core clocked at 500MHz
    * 640MB GDDR3 RAM clocked at 900MHz
    * 320-bit memory interface, delivering 64GB/s
    * 96 unified shaders clocked at 1200MHz

    Both cards come with DX10 and SM4 support, as well as HDCP crypto-ROM.

    They are each dual-slot designs, and have minimum power requirements of 450W (for the GTX) and 400W (GTS) in single-card configurations, or 800W in SLI. For the sake of comparison, NVIDIA's current flagship model (the 7950GTX) requires 400W, even though it is two cards.

    The cards are already finalized and to manufacturers, so it is expected that we'll see them launch on or around the second week of November.

    800w for SLI...... I see dual powersupplies a comming or somethink like thermaltakes 5 1/4" psu's....

    They mean that it "requires" a 400watt power supply. It doesn't even draw near 200 watts though.

    And they're allowing for the power draw of the rest of the PC. I'd be surprised if a good brand 600watt couldn't do SLI with the GTS.

    They're gonna be beasts though !

    It's daily Tech who seems to be revealing all the goodies

    Well stone the crows it seems VR-Zone were right with the specs though they didn't know about the clock domains with the core scalable to 1.5Ghz comment.

    NVIDIA clock the GPU at different speeds this and they are obviously taking this to the next level with G80.

    Anyway looks like a monster of a GPU, some Direct-X 10 tech demos will be on hand as well according to some posters at Beyond3D.

    No word on prices but given the specifications of these cards demand will be no doubt high.
