Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Injectors and Injector Types

Anybody here know anything about Mechanics? I am hoping to pick up something from the USA before too long, something with a Dodge or GM big block in it.

The thing is, I don't want to use Petrol in it, cos I can't stand Arabs and the Oil Companies. Sorry...just one of those things.

However, a company called Flex-Tek is making a product called The Flex-Tek Fuel Converter...check this link http://flextek.com/shop.htm

Apparently, this yoke will allow the user to run his/her engine on petrol, alcohol, OR ANY MIX thereof. Unfortunately, they only appear to offer compatability with Jeep, Chrysler or Dodge engines. {Do not confuse this with a Flex-Fuel Engine proper...this is a piece of kit that allows you to convert a "normal" engine.

Further, the type of injector the car uses is important, and it must suit one or other of these harness types:http://www.flextek.com/guide/injectors.htm

And: How do I know if an engine uses multi-port or sequential injection?

The entire problem could be avoided of course by just getting an old muscle car and drilling out the carb but thats not an option on so many of the newer models which use injection as opposed to carbs.

I would be grateful for any assistance or suggestions.

    Many thanks.

    TK
