well theres a couple of options
    • go into town, buy a taper and do it yourself
    • cut the tops off some cotton buds and put a cotton bud in between ur jewlery and ur ear every day or every second day until its whatever size u want

The circumference of a AAA battery is 10.5 mm ;)

i used use tape and wrap it around my plugs every few days or whenever they were ready to stretch up a bit more.it's nice and gradual and pretty simple.

expensive way: buy the jewellery one size bigger and do a dead stretch, but it can get expensive if you arent close to your target size (if you have one)

cheap way: do as porn_star says and the others.

way expensive way (cheap for me): hop on a flight over here to lyon, il bring you to marquise body art, buy whatever size plugs you want and theyl stretch em for free :D
flight to france from dublin: about €200 return
    average plugs/tunnels/etc: €10 each (€20)
    cool new stretched lobes:

BreadBoard: show off!!!! nice healthy lobes by the way

Happens when you over stretch the skin, its splits and starts to form what looks like a second lobe, can be extremely painful which is why i stick with getting my piercer to stretch mine!

Most piercing places only charge for the jewellery, ive gotten stretched 3 times in the past few months and its only cost me 8 euro each time.

shouldnt cost you anythign for a stretch.. just for the jewelery.. the markup on jewelery is already like 800% why would you pay more?

id suggest you use electrical tape. its cheap and safe. take it easy though and only add more tape so there's no pressure when you're puttin it back in.
ive used this method to get my ears up to 12mm and my septum up to 5mm, no problems at all.

not sure if this is a blow out or not but I have a very hard lump beside my lobe it happened cause I had to constantly take in and out my plugs for work they where the flared ones of I think thats what caused the upset any1 any idea what it could be. I really hope its not a keliod :(

Electrical tape is the way to go.
I went from 5mm to, er think i'm around 12mm.
I found tape to be addictive though :| Lol.
    Just kept going. :|

Heya all, I used to have my ear up to about 4mm or something small like that, I had to keep taking it out for school so I let it close back up, I'm stretching it again now, just a small one again, I just use my own jewellary and stuff, I'm only after starting so I've got three ear studs and a tongue stud in it, is this advisable?? I've never been to a piercer about stretching my ear...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 822 ✭✭✭Kastro

yea its grand... everyone has thier own methoods of streaching.. its ok to use a few bits of jewelery, sometimes it will irratate the ear when your sleeping etc coz the jewelry is moving, its the way i started off... but in the end get yourself some plugs and use the pvc/electrical/insulation tape.. its what i progressed onto and have stuck with. im holding 16's atm.. not sure how big im going. i cant stop.

I did a one millimetre dead stretch yesterday after buying my new jewellery. Slid in so easily. Given i was only 5mm, anywho yeah its easy just put stuff around em or buy cheapish jewellery.
it all depends what your target size is anyway.
