Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

file splitter

    Hi, just quickly looking for a file splitter for Unix. apparently zip-split doesnt handle large files, ie this 2GB image I have.
    so basically, does anyone know of any file splitters that will handle large files?

    If all you want is to break it into equal-sized pieces, use the "split" command. With the -b option, you can specify how many bytes each chunk should be. To recombine them just "cat" them together, like "cat file1 file2 file3 > bigfile".

    Is that any use?

    rar split will handle large files (I know this from experience on a 4G file).
