    hey lads, quick question, friend of mine applied for a .22 and was wondering how hed get a hold of his pulse id no. so he can keep tabs??

    Ask the firearms officer, unless the cert is granted, in which case it's on the licence.

    how is it possible to keep tabs, has he access to pulse :confused:

    How does he intend to keep tabs? The Garda PULSE system is standalone and cannot be accessed by the public.

    Presumably it's so he can call up the station to ask about the progress of the licence and quote the pulse id in the process, like you'd quote a reference number if asking about an insurance policy or whatever. Not sure whether that'd make much difference with the firearms cert mind...

    Remember your application will have a different number to your personal pulse ID number. But either should can be used to track an application
