I made a phone call recently about an inciidence of car clocking. I recieved a reply:

Thank you for your email regarding a possible case of car clocking.

This Office will investigate the matter raised by you under the Consumer
Information Act 1978. The inspector dealing with the case will contact you
during the course of the investigation.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
