Daleks and Cybermen have returned so who else?

Well, as a fan of The Master (Rodger Delgardo vintage esp) I'm plucking for him.

Dont add a poll yet - there are only 10 options on a poll!!!

I think the Master would make a great villain to have pop up throughout the series and add an extra slice of arc beyond that of the Daleks.

Who else can carry with such convinction the line "I am the Master, and you will obey me" and know that it works? Who else can, whilst trying to disguise himself, have the supremely deserved arrogance to go under the pseudynom Magister (Latin for Master)? Who else would compress his enemies into dolls? Who else could be an assassinating skeleton? Who else would have the nerve to take over one of the Doctor's companion's father? Who else would have the nerve but the Master!

Yes, I would agree with that. OK, ok, he "died" in the McGann movie, but I'm sure that they can do something it's not as if Who contunuity is perfect, is it?

Despite my love of continuity, the show has always had an easy-come,easy-gol attitude. It's continually contradicted itself, even from the most basic of principlles (i.e. - you can't change time in "The Aztecs", whereas you can in "Pyramid of Mars"). So this, coupled with some techno-tabble, should easily allow the great Mastermind to return.

    The Master ftw.

With preferably some time war shenanigans to explain it all. (I've been dying to find out more ever since it was mentioned)

Wouldn't mind seeing the Axons again, or the Ruttans

I'd like to see myself back again:D

Or failing that the Sea Devils

I'd like to see the Doctor attacked by a zombie thread. :)

Seriously though did RTD read this? they all came back, interesting historically as it shows despite his flaws he gave people what they were asking for.

really, only the main villans of the show returned,Sontarans and so on... the Macra were strange though. i feel the Daleks are overused. they're always destroyed utterly and forever...until next season.

thats because they had a deal with the Nation estate, which I believe is just ending now. They wanted as much dalekbang as possible for their buck.

I guess my gripe is that if they fully intend to bring them back, why always kill them off...are we expected to believe that there's all these Dalek armies that have no contact with each other.

I'm probably just reading too much into it

Nah you're right it shows a lack of forward planning.

Especially the last return. If Dalek Khan wanted to kill of the Daleks, surely the most efficient way of doing so would be to-er- not save their lives from the the time war in the first place?

I think at this stage the daleks should most certainly be laid to rest. I mean seriously, we've seen almost every possible variation of the race at this stage; from the fundamentalist daleks in season 1 through to the full skaro versions. At this point, to re-introduce them AGAIN, having been "once and for all" killed off so many times, would smack of idiocy tbh. Over-exposure & then some; the daleks need a rest. Even if they were to come back, they'd have to go back to the small-scale style we saw with "Dalek" because we have seen one too many army to take them seriously as a threat.

For season 5 though, I'd like to see a return of the Sea Devils, with a similar navy theme, or the Zygons. They were cool. That or the rutans. We never did see a proper Rutan story & it would be nice to have Stephen Moffat do a scary shape-shifting story with our squidgy friends.

I'd really like the Silurians to come back with the Sea Devils.
And while we're at it, more Sontarans please.
The Daleks were redeemed for me the moment they went round shouting ''EXTERMINIEREN!!!'' in s4e13 :D

A Sontaran is in tomorrow's episode of "The Sarah Jane Adventures" :)
