5 -1 and i wouldn't bet against Slovakia scoring again.

Wales were passing the ball well early on in the game, but they were doing nothing with it - which makes it useless.

Im finding it hard to sum this result up, whether it be a terrible wales performance, or whether Slovakia really are as good as there performances so far this campaign would suggest.

I'd tend to side with the latter of the two. this group is going to be extremely difficult for ireland to qualify from (as if we didn't already know).

Only counts vs the team you level on points with so its how you played vs them.

Poor enough, Rooney can't buy a goal or any confidence with ball to feet. Gerrard booked and will miss next game though had a great shot off the bar. Crouchie did a lot well but his radar faulty at the wrong moment, no fupping width, Downing should'nt start another game SWP was great on the left when he came on.

I see Spain not suprisingly lost 2-0 to Sweden in what was according to all reports a pretty comprehensive defeat. They now stand 6 pts behind Sweden and have Denmark ahead of them with a game in hand not to mention NI and Latvia. If Aragones doesn't get sacked now I'll give up ever taking them seriously again (edit: and this was the brilliant young team I said would win Euro 2008 when they got ko'd from the World Cup, although I didn't expect the Spanish FA to actually refuse Aragones' resignation).

The build up to this game was quite comical. Their captain Raúl gets dropped for the first time in 10 years (scapegoat for the NI defeat) just as he's coming back into form ironically, and they go into the match with only 2 strikers in the entire squad. Aragones has already tried to resign twice and Joaquin has come out saying "right now the national team is a joke, it's in chaos and not even Luis knows which way to turn".

Graeme Hunter (Spanish Football correspondent on Off the Ball) was saying in midweek that if Spain lost Aragones would be gone and the new coach, whomever that may be, would declare their allegiance to Raúl upon appointment. Unfortunately for Spanish football lovers, looking at the group standings, it may be too late now.
