Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anybody know of a website where I could...

    Hey,

This might seem a bit weird, but I'm looking to find a forum where I can post piccies of myself, and get fashion advice from the residents, and told how to make myself look better. Kind of like an online Trinny and Susannah ?

I will probably post them here too, if there are no objections (once you see the pics a few people might get sick though !), but if anybody knows a specialised forum or space where I could do this, that would be fantastic !

I know theres one or two, the most popular (I think) being www.hotornot.com , but I reckon my self esteem is low enough as t'is !! But they aren't really what I'm looking for, since they dont really offer any feedback on your look or fashion sense, unless you count bots asking you if you want to date them feedback ! :o

So yeah, if anybody knows of one it would be incredibly handy, and if nobody does, it could be a good community endeavour for this website ! :)

Thanking you very much ! :)

I don't know of any and just checked google and found nothing, but hotornot is definately not the place!

Though, do feel free to post up some pictures here. I know theres a few of us who've worked as sales assistants/consultants in clothing stores before or are still who'd be more than happy to help, as well as plenty of people to give you an opinion or feedback (you will get "more black..black ftw" and other crap but you can just ignore that).

    Male or female btw?

Also, be prepared for the usual sh|te, as some users are below 15, and/or have the mentality of someone below 15.

    yeah, no kidding.
But I'm sure you could get a lot of constructive criticism on this forum if you posted pictures. ;)

    Plenty of leeway so;)

Sorry OP, I can't think of any sites that offer what you're looking for... pity because its actually a great idea!

As some of the other posters have said you could post your pics here [if thats allowed mods;)] and posters could provide advice and constructive criticism. You mentioned that you've low self esteem so perhaps you may not want to do this I don't know... most of the responses will be nice and helpful but there will always be the few who'll act the eejit.

Yeah, I don't see the problem with posting your own pic here. (Posting pics of others possibly not such a good idea, though). Constructive criticism only from other users, though!

You could post your picture in the KYN section, and link it.

This idea could actually be an interesting new ongoing thread in this forum

Yea, it definetely could be fun ! Shall I make another thread explaining the rules and stuff, something like "Tell the poster above you what you think of them !", except it has to be constructive, and replies have to be quite long, answering any questions the poster above you asks. You can post yourself twice, but it cant be the same picture !

    Sound good ?

The only fear is it could turn into a ++postcount thread like the 'What are you wearing thread' is turning into [well imo anyway]... so a 'STRICTLY NO CHAT' type rule like in 'Know Your Nerds' needs to be enforced;)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, so we could have a character limit or just skip people who dont reply properly maybe ?! It could be fun ! :)

    Sounds good to me.
Constructive comments only, no snide remarks tolerated, no one word replies etc etc. should make it a good thread.
