Did anyone else see the micra that drove down the pavement on georges st about 3.30 last night trying to get away from the gaurds?

When I noticed a commotion, he was pulling out on to georges street and there was somebody trying to smash his window with a motor cycle helmet. He tore off across georges street ande drove onto the pavement on the left side heading towards Dame St. There were people throwing stuff at the car from the direction he came.

He drove down the footpath at speed and apparenetly hit one or two people on the busy path before crashing into something. The gaurds that were following him dragged him out and must have given him a seeing to as when they went to put him in the squad car his head was pissing blood.

There were a few ambulances on the scene I'm surprised radio or tv news didn't pick it up. Did anyone one see or hear any thing more about this?

Hope they castrate the stupid toerag

Just another crazy night in alchie-central.

You need to go postal during daylight hours with a fast-moving HGV/coach to make the news these days.

A bit of an assumption isn't it?

Scummers like this regularly sport injuries which are either self inflicted or received from other scummers. Crashing a stolen car (presumably without wearing a seatbelt) is in itself likely to draw blood.

Probably self inflicted in the crash rather than gardai inflicted................Pity.

Garda or not, anyone with human emotions wouls be likely to do the same to any scummer who drives down paths and knocks people down... Fair play.

Why dont we ever hear a good ending to these stories like

"Joyrider hits lampost & is paralysed for life"

Hate the way these guys just seem to be able to escape serious injury to themselves yet dont give a damn if they mow down innocent bystanders

Would agree but then ths scumbag would use up valuable health services for he rest of his life.
