    hi

anyone got any recomendations for a good third internal sata hard drive 400-500 gigs ,just to be used for files mp3's etc.
i have a dell xps with 2x250gig hard drives in a raid format already and wonder will this be an issue for adding a third one?

thanks in advance to all the members that reply :)

For basic file storage anything will do but the 500GB HD's tend to be high end performers however if you don't want to spend too much money get the Hitachi EK7500 for €195.

Next up the chain is successor to the above the Hitachi TK7500 for €227.

Seagate also make a 750GB HD if you want some crazy storage options but the price is high, Samsung also make a 500GB HD though there aren't too common yet.

Still anything is more than enough for what you describe, as for installing it will just show up as a standard HD in the computer it wont conflict with your RAID array.
