Take your time, it was my first impression too, on the 2nd day i was going to uninstall it. alot of people i know, its their first impression, now they're hooked.

As for the graphic, you talking about the little red box, tracking behind the wall?, its an unlock for recon as far as i know. handy for sniping.

Titan mode is waesome.

Ok ok,i done what you said and gave it more time,gave it a nice 3 hour stint just now and dare i say it i enjoyed it more
Ive just put up a BF2 server this week,im strongly thinking of switching it to 2142 for trial run.

How the hell do you use the Scope Stabiliser Recon unlock? It appears to be as useful as a braclet on the battlefield.

Hmmm got this today. Do you guys use the in game menus for connecting/finding to servers or some other app?

i just use the ingame browser.
If your trying to find a server and none show ,download the 2142 patch.i didnt know about the patch and spent a good while scratching my head on why no servers would show :eek:

hlsw now supports 2142.
Very handy to keep an eye on your favourite servers.

all classes get different Netbat unlocks. engineers can track vehicles, recon can track people they see after they go around corners, assault can spot their class, and support have the heart beat tracker. if you have a nice mixed squad you can pretty much keep track of everything in your vicinity. combined with voice coms and sat-track/uav it takes the game to a new level.

people have their gripes about it but i absolutly love this game, despite its bugs, connection drops etc.

Looks like people may have voted with thier wallets on this one. Top 20 all format charts, bf2142 nowhere to be seen. Negative reviews from eurogamer (7/10) and a really poor (5/10) review from games.tm looks like its put a few people off.

Been waiting for my copy to be delivered from cdwow.ie....which looks like it'll take another week grrrrrr, so I went ahead and downloaded the demo, from what I've played its really nothing to shout about, pretty ordinary game really...was slightly disappointed.

I too thought the demo was terrible,its a bad representation of the final product.
Hated the demo but loving the full game.

2142 started off with a serious disadvantage when it came to reviews, it had EA on the Box. If it was'nt EA just some mickey mouse comapny it would be in the top 10 and hailed as greatest Multiplayer ever. Bf2 messed its cred up big time.

er i just got 500 points for some medal or something. Finished the round with 578 points. there are some nice rewards out there for doing the right things it seems:D

But that wouldnt show up in thr round score would it?

Nope bonuses get added onto global score, combat effieceny badge etc.

Thoughts wise, I have Bf2, I got bored of the maps. Its a good game.
I'd put BF2142 up there as as game that is as good, im sure I'll get bored of it soon...... when the DOW expansion arrives in the post!

probably an xtra vision, they are usually a fiver or so cheaper than the others on most games.

Give it time Mr Burberry, btw did you get BB finally? trust me it's better than BF2, once you get into it, sh!te was my first impression too.
