    This link should work:

    http://www.lidl.ie/ie/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20061012.p.DigitalVideoCamera

    The 8MP is 5MP interpolated to 8.
    There is zero optical zoom.

It looks nice though, and the price is quite good

Yea, but you'll miss the optical zoom, especially on a video camera. I'd spend more and get an optical zoom.

Sorry lads , but 150 spent on that yolk is 150 wasted , a real jack of all trades and master of none , heres the full specs from silvercrest ,

    http://www.mysilvercrest.de/en/artikel.php?a=93&av=1

Heres just some of the things wrong with it ,

Its 5 megapixel not 8 and the compression ratio is 10 to 1 , meaning the pictures are not going to be that sharp ,

Its fixed at F2.8 so wont be great in low light , and has no flash to speak off , ( this means that it will only take decent pics in daylight or well lit rooms , forget pics of your mates in the pub , it wont be able for the low light )

It has no optical zoom and a fixed aperature so that means while filming moving people or objects the thing will continually be out of focus ,

640 by 480 in MP4 is going to look crap on any decent sized TV.

It works on SD memory cards , you get 32 MB with it , which will take about 40 -50 seconds of video , to call this thing a camcorder is a joke , you would have to kit yourself out with multiple SD cards to get any decent length of video of it .

Here are the prices for SD cards , 2 gigs is 40 and 4 gigs is 80 euros.

Once you add that to the price of it then you realise that you can get a real camcorder for that money , works on Mini DV , ( tapes cost a fiver ) .
