Golf TDi mpg question

    I'm wondering if falling mpg figures are a sign of the air mass meter on it's way out? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

    I'm not certain about the dip in power aspect as I know I have more with the sensor plugged in than without but I suspect there is slightly less than full.
