Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Outlook express outgoing server

I've got a problem with outlook express. It's to do with RCP host not reconising my email address.

    Google shows up this.

iWhen I attempt to send e-mail out, I receive the following error messages: "your intended recipient is not in our list of rcp hosts" or "no transport provider."

This error message is typically indicative of the outgoing mail server not recognizing your IP address. When sending mail, be sure to check for new mail at least 15 minutes before you try to send; when you do this, your IP address is added to the list of allowed senders. This list expires every 20 minutes, after which time you will need to check for new mail before you try to send again.

Is there a way to fix this permanently?

The outgoing server needs to be set as whatever your ISP, perlico's outgoing server is (SMTP server).

The message you are getting means that your outgoing server does not recognise your IP address. Can you receive any? Try checking for new mail before sending any.

i can recieve emails no problem.

Since the last post i've tried setting up outlook on another machine. same problem occurs. So it must be something on the server side.

I can set emails to other eircom customers
