I think as well, Irish Jobs is a trade mark, and Irish Jobs have a habit of suiing competitors, so maybe you need a different name altogether.

Agree completely with cantab EXCEPT for the fact that the website seems fairly technically lame, rather than innovative thing you believe it is!

I think as well, Irish Jobs is a trade mark,

"irishjobs.ie" is claimed as a trademark however "Irish Jobs" cannot be a trademark as it is non-distinctive.

    Yes, irishjobs.ie is a trademark.

    You are findirishjobs.ie

    It's risky...

    Yes, irishjobs.ie is a trademark.

I know irishjobs.ie has a "tm" after it on the homepage which means that it is being claimed as a trademark. It doesn't appear to be a registered trademark (otherwise it would have an "r" after it). There are difficulties with non-distinctive names such as "Irish Jobs" - tagging ".ie" at the end of them may not changes things. In any case this doesn't matter as .....
    You are findirishjobs.ie

...actually we are "Find Irish Jobs"....our website address is www.findirishjobs.ie

Of course you have sites such as ireland.com, discoverireland.com, in fact over 27000 names have been registered somethingireland.com.

We have no intention of passing ourselves off as irishjobs.ie - our template is very different - the sites don't look anything like each other....and our site is for finding Irish jobs and we see no reason why we shouldn't include two words which help to describe what are site is about.
