    Hi,

Hope you can help. The last 2 days I have noticed a screeching scraping noise coming from the front right of the car. It comes and goes every now and then but seems to be happening more often. Its an 05' VW golf..

Anyone know of a good garage in the Donnybrook/Clonskeagh area that they would recommend and directions if possible ?

The car is still under warranty - just take it to the nearest main dealer to you - have a look on http://www.volkswagen.ie

Have you taken a look at the front wheel in question. Is there something rubbing off wheel? Worth a quick look.
As Previous poster said it under warranty!

it could be a stone lodged between the break disc and housing,
i had this before on a volvo and was a stone, made an awful noise but was just a stone scraping against the break disc.

I'd be inclined to check this first - before you bring it to the garage as the garage will probably charge you to remove the stone as they won't consider it warranty.

Also when did you get you brake pads changed?
Have a look at them and make sure there is enough tickness in the pad.
    You might need new ones.
