Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The brother has a lappie and a pc both on his wireless network. eircom and using a netgear router, the lappie has its own card and the pc has a netgear usb wireless adaptor.

The lappie is working fine but the pc is having problems. It can view and connect to the wireless network but the connection is limited or none. The reason it gives is that it cannot assign a network address.

I have checked all the settings on the pc and checked them against my own settings too and can not for the life of me figure it out.

Any help whatsoever would be much appreciated.

Check the WPA password that you've set on the laptop. The logs on the router should slso have some indication of what the problem is.

Cheers Foxweeod but found a couple of cures after googling. Should have done that first I suppose but thought I would try here.

Anyway just for the record I found the fixes here:
    http://weblogs.asp.net/jld/archive/2004/10/29/249491.aspx
and am off to try it them out soon. Will post if this worked or not.

Edit: Just an update. This sorted out the problem.

If you have an error "Limited or No Connectivity" on your wireless network have a look at the page above.
