Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I'm new to this broadband set up and need some experienced help .
I've just signed up for BT Broadband with a wireless router.
I have no wireless card on my Dell PC .

What should I be looking for re spec for a wireless card ?
Are there any perormance issues between the USB and network cards ?
    Is there a recommended make/model ?

The wireless router also supports up to 4 "wired" connections.

You want an 802.11g card - 802.11b cards are compatible but slower.
Are there any perormance issues between the USB and network cards ?
Not really. You can often attach a external antenna to a PCI card that can help in special circumstances, but the flip side is that it's easier to move a USB adapter around to improve the signal (by using a 3 ft USB extension cable that many USB devices come with).
    Is there a recommended make/model ?
Again, not really. If you were buying a router and an adapter, the recommendation is to get both from the same manufacturer, but I don't know of anyone who ever bought a ZyXEL wireless adapter.

If possible, a wired connection will be more reliable than a wireless connection.
