Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nokia 8801- help

    Guys im interested in purchasing a nokia 8801, is this the exact same as a nokia 8800.will it work here in ireland and also what gsm network does ireland use eg gsm1800 etc

    hope someone can help

    eg 8801 is Service: GSM 850/1800/1900 MHz
    and 8800 is Tri-band operation GSM coverage on up to five continents (GSM 900/1800/1900 networks)

    does that make a difference

    Countries in Europe use dual band 900-1800 afaik.

    so ruu ,the 8801 will work i think.as i checked ebay to do some research on the differences of these phones.it looks like people are selling 8801 as 8800's so that means they work in europe.

    Im afraid without 900 ..the coverage will be quite limited mainly to urban areas where it will pick up the 1800

    yeah our system was and is originally gsm 900 they added the dualband gsm 1800 mainly in urban areas to combat congestion .

    yep you are screwed outside towns and cities without the gsm 900. My dad got an old 1800mhz nokia before and it wouldn't work out here in the sticks
