Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What style dress to go to a ball?

    Hi,

I am going to a black-tie ball in Dublin soon and am wondering No.1 - what type of dress is the right style to wear for a ball and No. 2 - where to shop?

I saw a black strapless three quarter length dress in a shop recently but don't know if this is more of a cocktail dress or could it be worn to a ball?

Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, I think the dress code at balls is a bit more relaxed these days - there's no need to wear a full length Oscars style dress - cocktail length should be fine :-)

Coast, Warehouse, Oasis, Debenhams and Monsoon have some lovely party dresses at the mo... only trouble is you might bump into someone wearing the same dress (particularly with Coast & Monsoon!) so it might be worth having a look in some independent boutiques for something different.
