Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could someone explain to me how push e-mail works?

I have a Vodafone phone that says it has push e-mail. Do I need special software from Vodafone? Can I set this up with both my personal e-mail and my work e-mail?

which handset? if you have exchange 2003 sp2 at work it does push e-mail, there is also blackberry, and also vodafone support visto. Your personla e-mail might be a different story.

    SE p990i

I just don't understand how push e-mail works. It requires special software on the server? Does it also require extra software on the phone?

They use Blackberry's in the office and offered me one but I'd prefer not to have to carry one if I could get push e-mail set up on the p990i

that phone does blackberry or exchange push (active sync) go speak to your IT people, you just need to install the software on the phone, they will guide you through the rest.
It will then just recieve e-mail over the network (it's basically always connected) this will hurt battery life a bit.
