Adding extra credit to a credit card

If I wanted to buy something online, but it costs more than my cards limit, could I add credit to the card before the purchase? I was hoping there is a function where I could move the cash across accounts online (I've got them both with the same bank). Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Yes, you can put money on to your credit card in order to make up the shortfall in your limit
