    You can refer somebody to join Boards, and give them a special link that identifies you as the referrer. Your referral number increased with each person.

    I think when you email a page to somebody, your referrer link is contained within that. If they subsequently join from that link, you're credited.

    It doesn't even have to be a link really. When someone knew signs up they're asked whether or not someone referred them to the site. In this case Victor, you only ruined one person's social life.
