automatic website thumbnails

    Hi,

    There are several sites out there that produce thumbnails of websites eg www.websitethumbnails.net

    However i would like to do that myself and having the thumbnails hosted on another server pose some problems

    DOES any one know how to do this in php ? or if a library exists?

    The Minds hosted section does this using KHTML2PNG. But that wasn't exactly easy to set up.


    I'm not sure if you could do it in pure php.

    Whats wrong with letting another site worry about hosting it?

    main issue is if thier server is slow then my page will take longer to finish loading and therefore the onload javascript to initiate (and therefore causing problems)
