Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To access a wireless network in my college they tell me I need to set up a proxy server on my laptop.

I have the details but dont know where to put the info in XP Home.

The XP help refers me to
To specify an H.323 gateway or proxy
Open Phone and Modem Options in Control Panel.
On the Advanced tab, in Providers, click Microsoft H.323 Telephony Service Provider, and then click Configure.
In Configure H.323 Service Provider, select one of the following:
To specify an H.323 gateway, select the Use H.323 gateway check box, and then type the computer name or IP address for the gateway.
To specify an H.323 proxy, select the Use H.323 proxy, and then type the server name or IP address for the proxy.

    Thanks

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections and click on LAN Settings at the bottom of the page. You can set your proxy settings there.

Many thanks, is there a default port number by any chance as I did not get one?

There's no defaut port for proxy servers. If you were told to use a proxy server, you should have been given enough information to make it work.
