    Hi Folks,

I'm thinking about importing a car from Japan at the moment & have made contact in relation to a particular vehicle. They have sent me a pro-forma invoice which asks for ALL of the money UPFRONT. Is this the norm does anybody know?

You can understand my concern! Below is a link to the website with whom I'm dealing with:

Yep thats normal, when I brought my car in from Japan I had to pay...
    • Car price
    • Shipping
    • Shipping Insurance

    all up front.

Phew! Thanks for that Kaos, at least now I know, although I'm just being asked to pay the car price & shipping, no mention of insurance, I think that's all at the buyer's risk:confused:

Who did u purchase from anyway & what did u buy?

    Cheers;)
