Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

trying to install a fresh copy of winxp.. during the installation process i get the error:
"Installation Failed: D:\I386\asms. Error Message: Incorrect Function"

"Fatal error: one of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed"

it's a cd of winxp pro with sp2 "slipstreamed" onto it..

anybody experience anything like this before?

thanks for the quick reply yet again..
what way would you suggest burning it?
last time i used nero 7 and selected "CD-ROM (ISO)" using all of the default settings..
is there a better program for burning these bootable cds or am i missing some settings maybe?

    edit: it's an .iso btw..

    Freebee.

I was stuck badly last week and used this to burn a couple of ISO's.
    Worked perfect!
Are you sure the CD isn't scratched or dirty? (Sorry if i'm unsulting your intelligence with that one!)

should have tried that program last night..
ended up having to 'find' another copy of winxp which burned and installed without problems thankfully..
