    Yes but sometimes if the last poster has changed it will bring you to the wrong person. Not a major problem but slightly annoying sometimes.

    Why?

    It could be done but would require more resources to get the name of the user, then correct it to show up their user ID.

    All that is when you click on it is member.php?find=lastposter&t=[$threadid]

    There is a column in the thread table in the database that has the last posters name.
    $sql = 'SELECT `threadid` , `lastposter` FROM `thread`';

    Member.php then does the work to get the name and find the user id from the user table.


    If it's a case victor where you are trying to get the userid for mod use, load the page and then click view profile above the username in the navbar, it will reload the page with the userid.
