Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Combine System and Boot volumes.

    I messed up a little when I was installing windows on my new HD.

    I made what I though was a 10Gb partition for ubuntu, but this turned out to be a 10Gb System volume called C:.
    My boot volume is a 118Gb partition called E: and the rest is in a partition called Z: (the installer didnt detect my whole hard drive, so I had to partition the rest when I got into windows)

    I want swap the drive letters of C: and E: and make the new C: my boot and system partition. Leaving the new 10Gb E: for ubuntu.

    Possible?

    If windows is on C: then you would need to copy a modified boot.ini to it and then change the active partition and recovery console and fixboot

    if windows is on E: then it's messy to change because there may be junk all over the registry pointing at it.

    remove the Z: partition, ubuntu will install in the largest free space.
    Because microsoft have nor released any information about NTFS (very closed source) no other OS will use it for it's system files.
