Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Something a SE W800i does that a W810i doesnt..?

I've just changed from an unlocked, unbranded W800i to a vodaphone locked and branded W810i and, while i'm very happy with the phone, i've noticed its missing a feature that i found very handy.

When i first paired my old 800 with my bluetooth car kit, it allowed me to associate the car kit with the "in car" profile, so whenever i got into my car, the 800 would switch to the in car profile automatically and when i got out it would revert back to the general one, very handy!

However, when i paired my new 810 with the kit, it didnt give me that option. it just stays on the general profile with the handsfree attached.
Now i know its just a little inconvenience, but it was a nice feature of the 800 that i'd gotten used to, and i find it hard to believe that it would be omitted on a newer model!

Would it have something to do with vodafones own branding and software installed? will unbranding the phone and putting the latest SE firmware solve this? I'm not against flashing the phone, as i've done a few in the past (including my 800)

Has anyone other than myself come across this, and can offer any advice?

Could be a Voda thing. Very unusual to remove features for what is essentially the same phone.

managed to get this sorted, its just a little different to the 800, if anyone else is having the same problem select your in car profile, edit it, and add both "car handsfree" and "accessory 110" to the profile. Problem solved.
