Urgent: Bro's Car Wont Start

    Hi,
    Just got a phonecall from my brother and his car wont start, he went to a petrol station and got out of the car for about a minute, when he got back in, it wouldn't start. There's usually a red flashing light near the radio and that's not there anymore. Any ideas? Does he need jump leads or anything?

    Any feedback would be appreciated!

    Does the engine turn when he keys the ignition. Or does it kind of splutter?

    could be a dead battery, check that both of the connections are on the battery, does any of the lights work including the dome inside ?
