Just a quick note on my experience of installing a home wireless network using an NTL wired cable modem. i bought a D-Link DWL-G510 PCI network adapter and a Linksys WRT54G modem. Installation and setup was painless and after 15 mins the two work seamlessly with my NTL cable modem. Anyone in the "which wireless router/card" camp should definitely consider this combo. I bought the gear from Komplett, it came to about a hundred quid and i bought based on teh recommendations on this forum. That's my two cents worth.
