Same for me, it was much more season 1 like episode especially with Locke and I prefered that Locke but don't know, the episode never really grabbed at me, put
it on par with episode 1 but prefered last weeks episode.

    Pretty forgetful episode,nothing really happened.
This show is really dragging its heels,it needs a bit of a boost.
More and more questions being asked, very few answers.
I'm sure alot of this is being made up along the way by the writers.

sorry if this posted somewhere else, i didn see it in the episode discussion...

    When that guy locke brought back to the farm sat down at the table, the main guy looked at his t shirt and said;

"Geronimo Jackson? .... you've got good taste."

Wasn't this one of the artists that charlie and hurley found in the record collection in the hatch? And charlie had no idea who it was?

Just a random comment put in to strengthen old references, or possibly something meaningful? I know its only something very small but its just the fact that it was brought makes it slightly interesting

Can't believe all the 9/10s and "this episode was so great" comments. After two good opening episodes this one feels like one massive step back. The bear stuff was stupid. Desmond's "new powers" and nakedness are bizarre and thus frustrating cos it could take LOST anything up to season 6 to explain what happened. For me, nothing happened in this episode to advance the plot. Locke, lost voice and made mess. Locke had vision, got back voice and cleaned up mess.

The only plus points in this episode were the vision (some interesting stuff in the airport), something's up with Des (please let them not ignore this next episode) and Locke has hopefully found his way again.

The flashback was utterly useless and boring (though I do realise that they can go back and show something like Locke killing the cop or the commune leader being Mr. Friendly's brother or something and give it more significance).
Nothing was explained about what happened at the hatch. Noone seemed to care.

The episode just seemed random and disjointed. Ultimately, after 2 episodes of new interesting stuff it feels like we're back to a situation where all these random things won't be dealt with anytime soon. What's the bets Hurley doesn't say anything about Des till the season finale ;)

    Ditto.

Tho I am tiring of the whole Locke saving everything saga. His backstory this time, I lost interest in. Polar bears too.

Bit of a let down after ep01 & ep02 imo.

That was one aspect of the episode that really confused me. It was like the hatch blowing up was a minor event for the Losties. When Locke returned there was no surprised "Jesus Christ Locke you're alive!!" from anyone, instead just a "Oh look, there's Locke, finally decided to come back from the hatch that exploded around him did he?".

    Very very odd.

Very underwhelmed and surprised at all the positive comments here.

Locke's backstory was pretty poor (but that's in keeping with the backstories) and it's a bit tiring now for the backstory to show how they overcame some hurdle that stopped them in the past or somesuch. Yawn. Told us nothing new.

Bringing back the polar bears - umm okay. A bit random and another example of how the show will drop a plot line and pick it up when it feels convenient (maybe we'll return to Lostzilla in half a season...).

I hated the way noone seemed to question how they all escaped from the imploded hatch - methinks the writers don't know and are being "mysterious" to buy themselves time to work it out. Why does noone else on the island press these questions home? Why are they so reluctant to open their mouths (and on a sidenote - two new people speaking.. did Jack give them permission to talk?).

Disliked everyone's reliance on Jack and the shock at him disappearing since his primary function seems to be antagonism and diviseness.

Didn't even care much for the dream as I find most of those prophetic/allegorial/whatever dreams in show to be pretentious. I really hope we're not meant to read anything into it but I've a horrible feeling that the fact Jack had gone through the security gate was meant to indicate how he had "crossed over" to the other/Other side (whereas Sawyer and Kate were still outside). Blah.

Only good thing was seeing Desmond is still around because he's pretty good. Maybe his prophetic abilities will actually have a decent explanation although I doubt it...

It's not significant per se, it's more of an in joke between the writers.

Geronimo Jackson are this fairly obscure band/singer? from 70's but the writers liked him/them so are trying to add few referances in just for a laugh, it will not have any bearing on overall story/

Geronimo Jackson is a band entirely made up by lost... they're not real.

Yep, the band doesn't exist at all!

Am merging this with the 3X03 thread.

implosions are cool, again, the beachdwellers again have a deficit of reaction to what going on.

Lol, I missed that one completely. I just heard writers talk about them and assumed they were being truthful.

It's very obvious the writers have no idea what to do. There is no plot. Notice how they have convienently forgotten about the monster, the numbers, etc.

I feel a bit cheated considering I've invested so much time in this show.
