NCT Performing Driving Tests?

    Hi,
    Is it true that the people who do the NCTs will also be carrying out a number of driving tests to reduce the backlog? If so, does anyone know when this is due to start? Also, will you be able to apply for the driving test in the same way as the NCT, i.e. go to the website and pick your date?

    ha great nct testers theyl clear the backlog no bother:rolleyes: they pass dodgy cars in seconds why not pass dodgy drivers aswell:D everyone apply to them ull pass in seconds(all levels welcome:mad: )

    SGS ireland are the company doing the tests. Yes they also opeerate the NCT system.

    NO you cannot apply to them direcltly. Applications still go to the central booking office in Ballina and some of them are passed on to sgs
